DICE and Electronic Arts have officially announced Star Wars Battlefront 2’s next season of content. Surprise, it’s centered around the new Han Solo prequel movie! While some players (everyone) have demanded a season centered around the massive cinematic battles of the Clone Wars such as Geonosis and Utapau, the developers and publishers have decided to take a different route.

The Han Solo Season introduces an old map, Jabba’s Palace, and a few cosmetic features. The season will try and anchor itself around a new mode called Hero Showdown, which pits two heroes and villains against each other in an elimination mode. EA claims that they will have more info and content announcements after the premiere of the move, but for now, that’s all we get. The season itself will be spread across the next two months.

Aside from content directly affiliated with our favorite smuggler, the season will also debut a new Starfighter Arcade mode. Players can mix and match ships to train with, taking on AI enemies to hone their skills in the air.

Star Wars Battlefront 2: Han Solo Season begins on May 16th for all players.
