Prey’s Launch Trailer Takes a Long Look at an Extraterrestrial Nightmare

Prey is a new first-person thriller game from the veteran developers at Bethesda Softworks, and it launches this Friday, May 5th. The launch trailer has debuted, giving a deep look into the science fiction game’s premise, style, and gameplay.
Prey is set in the not-so-distant future on a scientific space station above Earth. Players will step into the space-walking boots of Morgan Yu, a survivor of a very hostile alien aboard the Talos I. The mysterious alien pathogen hunts and mutilates its prey, but through dangerous experimentation, Morgan will have access to a number of abilities based on the alien’s biology. Shapeshifting, energy traps, and various “neural upgrades” will make the fight against the Typhon an interesting experience for players.
