It's Official, a WWII-themed Call of Duty will be Revealed Next Week

The rumors are true! After several futuristic installments, Activision's heritage first-person shooter, Call of Duty will be going back to its roots. An official reveal for the World War II game will occur this coming Wednesday during a live stream. The move to the original setting of the game series comes after more recent Call of Duty game's have "underperformed." 2016's Infinite Warfare was well-received, but highly criticized for it's pushing of the future setting.

Sledgehammer Games, developers of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, is heading the project. Designed to bring the franchise "back to its roots" Call of Duty: WWII will attempt to fulfill the void felt by many long-time fans of the series.
