Earlier today, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment unveiled a sixteen minute gameplay reveal video for Middle-earth: Shadow of War. Upcoming sequel to the successful Shadow of Mordor, this game is poised to expand and improve what made first game great.

As seen in the video, the most notable improvement is with the famous Nemesis System. Nemesis is an artificial intelligence system created by developer Monolith that creates relationships between friend and foe. That means that if you attack an injure an enemy, they will remember you and be more vigorous in their attempts at payback. Shadow of War expands upon this tenfold, involving entire armies. The main character, Talion, will coordinate and lead assaults on various strongholds. Followers will also have new relationships with you, as they can become agitated with you depending on your actions.

This extensive reveal also shows some other interesting details with the third-person, open-world game. The game now takes place on a much larger scale, rathe than two or three regions within the infamous Sauron's dominion of Mordor from The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Players will take the "Gravewalker" beyond the reaches of just the enemy, but will also interact with the cities of Men.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is to be released this Summer, on August 22nd for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
