Hello Games' controversial game No Man's Sky is in for a new update this week. The highly anticipated game was released in 2016, and was incredibly criticized for what players thought was a game too simple and too boring. Since then, Hello Games released a November update, following their silence during the initial salvo of criticism. The first update brought about some more details, and means for players to build a planetary base. This new update, dubbed the Path Finder Update 1.2, will further expand the game, aiming to give players more direction while they explore the infinite universe.

New ground vehicles are the most notable introductions. Having been mostly focused on aerospace ships, the inclusion of land-based vessels is a feature that current and prospective players will be interested in. Also, Path Finder will allow for players to share their individual planetary bases with other intergalactic explorers. New weapons, gear, and trade opportunities will be the lifeblood of this update.

While the first update addressed the occasional aimlessness of No Man's Sky, it did not completely solve that significant issue. Many players still don't know what to do, but quests seemed to be a major improvement for fans and critics alike.
The Path Finder will update will go live sometime this week for all No Man's Sky players, including those on PlayStation 4 Pro.
