In spite of President Trump’s faltering travel ban against Muslims coming from seven countries, Humble Bundle has raised money for the American Civil Liberties Union and several other notable charities. Humble Bundle is a digital video game marketplace known for its deals and bundles of games. Instead of increasing profits with their current bundle, Humble Bundle is sending each dollar from their sales to charity.
The Humble Freedom Bundle groups nearly 50 video games and books together for purchasing, and went live yesterday afternoon. Since then, it has earned over $3 million for the ACLU, the International Rescue Committee, and Doctors Without Borders. These organizations have recently made efforts to combat President Trump’s recent executive orders on immigration and refugees, and Humble Bundle intends to strengthen their resources. The Trump Administration's efforts have also been halted by a federal appeals panel last Thursday.
The Humble Freedom Bundle includes recent indie games such as Stardew Valley and The Witness. The bundle will remain active until February 20th at 2:00 pm EST.
