Even though it's in in the process of turning public opinion around, Activision is still catching heat. With the besieged announcement of Infinity Ward's upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, the experienced developer also released info on the remastered edition of their masterpiece Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007). While there have been some seriously mixed opinions about Infinite Warfare, the remastered Modern Warfare has been met with joy. Until yesterday . . .

The announcement included information that explicitly said that players can only get the remastered title with a purchase of Infinite Warfare. An expected move, but not very well received. Since them, gamers all across the globe have been scouring for a possibility of an opportunity to purchase Modern Warfare separately. Yesterday, Activision finally snuffed out any hope of that with a release explaining that the remastered game is not even playable without a hard copy of Infinite Warfare if players purchase a physical disc. The internet is not thrilled.

While we have no idea how this will further effect its volatile presence, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will hit the shelves on November 4th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
