After a torrential plummet following its exciting release, No Man's Sky is now under investigation for false advertising. Hello Games' massive space exploration game was hailed as a complex and functioning universe. Planet-sized planets and star systems as large as one would expect. Since its release on August 8th, players have been sorely disappointed.

Many claim that Hello Games simply lied about certain exciting aspects of the No Man's Sky. The infinitely procedurally generated universe does little to provide gamers with variety. Certain aliens, minerals or pieces of equipment will be discovered again and again, making the already elongated searching process very mundane. Players are also displeased with how exploring the random and vast space is a bit different from what they expected. When one discovers an alien life form, a new mineral or even an entire new planet, players will not receive a unique price or run down. Rather, each discovery comes with a preset price and characteristics, severely limiting the variety that the game was intended to boast.
Some do argue that the game is exactly what it said it would be, and what it is just isn't good enough. News recently cam forth that only 1,000 No Man's Sky players are left on Steam. Daunting news, but who knows what the numbers are on PlayStation 4.
