Gamers across the globe were unsurprised to learn that Sony's The Last Guardian has been delayed once more. The anticipated artistic title has long been wanted by players for its promise in storytelling and nuanced gameplay, but is once more facing trouble meeting development deadlines, as we learned today.
The Last Guardian has been under development since 2007 and was first publicly revealed in 2009. The president of Sony Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, published a blog earlier today explaining the delay. While he describes an upcoming milestone in development, the developers "have encountered more bugs than anticipated while in the final stages of development." Yoshida also disclosed that this delay is no more than a few weeks, and is aimed at finalizing the finishing touches.

While it's been quite a long time, there is no guarantee that this delay will spark any more frustration among gamers. The Last Guardian, which will follow a young boy and a friendly giant creature, was slated for release in October of 2016 for the PlayStation 4.
