Publisher Electronic Arts and developer BioWare have released the first gameplay video of the highly anticipated Mass Effect: Andromeda. Following the Mass Effect Trilogy, which concluded in 2012, players have been excited for this title since its official announcement during the 2016 Electronic Entertainment Expo. This game will leave the bonds of the Milky Way in an effort to explore and chart and entirely new galaxy. This new gameplay trailer features our new hero(s) who have the colossal task of filling the shoes of the famous Commander Shepard.
A new galaxy, completely untouched by the humans of the Solar System, or any other beings from our galaxy. While that's very exciting, this trailer doesn't show us much of that. It's just a mysterious alien cave, filled with amazing technology. What this video is really meant to show us, as the narrating Aaryn Flynn (General Manage at BioWare) indicates, is 4K. The "ultra HD" definition which has been brought to the PlayStation Neo, will supposedly make this upcoming game shine like no other.
Upon turning your 4K definition option on YouTube, your computer will probably flip you the bird. However, if it does finally come around to playing the video, you will see a glimpse of some very impressive graphics. The engine functions strongly with meticulous attention to detail. When you're done being distracted by that, notice that this game will feature two main characters, a brother and sister. Following the successful trend that Assassin's Creed: Syndicate sparked, we're not shocked to seeing a new game adopt the same practice. To be frank, the game looks very pretty, and we hope to see more videos soon (A new trailer will debut in November).
Mass Effect: Andromeda will be available in March of 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
