Many gamers and loyal members of the PlayStation Nation got home from work yesterday to find only disappointment. Many hopes of participating in the open beta of Battlefield 1 have been snuffed out for PlayStation 4 owners due to a massive outage across the globe with PSN. Sony has acknowledged the issue, which appears to have some relation to EA's own struggling servers, which were reported to be stalling around mid-day yesterday.

The internet in turn, has responded with patience and poise, as one would expect. Twitter is up in flames about the lack of progress made since last night. Yesterday was the very first day of the Battlefield 1 beta, and has been top of mind for many weeks. Sony has explained that many of these issues are likely revolving around the amount of players trying to log in, but there is no confirmed cause at this time. Only time will tell if Sony and EA will be able to fix the problem promptly.

Game Chop will keep readers and players updated on this story as it develops.
