A silent crime thriller called Virginia was announced in 2014, but has had very little exposure since then. Now, 505 Games has released a short video promoting a demo of Virginia, which has become available this week. This game has been praised by early accessors as video game industry's most recent answer to the crime sub-genre that includes True Detective, Twin Peaks and Stranger Things.
Players take the role of a young FBI agent, on the case of a missing boy in a small town in Virginia in 1992. While searching for the child, she traverses the volatile nature of this mysterious disappearance, all while developing a relationship with her partner. The game will follow a silent, semi-supernatural style, championed by many independent games of late - think Inside, Journey and other popular titles. 505 Games' newest glimpse doesn't tell us much about the narrative, but it has been paired with new details on the macabre plot.
The new video details the demo of the upcoming game, which will hit the shelves come next month. It also shows some clips of the game, which boasts a colorful minimalist animation style. The demo itself is downloadable via Steam, for players of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. If you're a player who is a fan of dark, mysterious crime suspenses, Virginia may be the game for you to test out.
Virginia will be available to players on September 22nd for the PS4, Xbox One and PC and Mac.
