Game of the Year Edition to be Released for The Witcher 3

Unsheathe that handy dandy silver sword again, monster hunters! The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting a Game of the Year Edition. About damn time, considering we here at Game Chop were fortunate enough to have rewarded the open-world spectacle with the title of The Very Best Game of 2015.

Earlier today, Polygon received word from game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz that the epic quest of the professional monster hunter, Geralt of Rivea will have a Game of the Year edition. "I’m happy to confirm – yes, plans are in motion to release such an edition. We’ll release more details, including the release date, in the future." Konrad confirmed this after several ratings of an edition had been spotted on a German ratings board.

Reports are saying that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Game of the Year Edition will be released in late August. The two paid expansions, Hearts of Stone, and Blood and Wine will most likely be included with purchase. Only time will tell. In the meantime, checkout our review of the fantastic action-fantasy.
